Logistic Contractor acquires land northeast of Helsinki in Finland

Logistic Contractor, which is part of the Wästbygg Group, has acquired 19.500 sqm of land in Sipoo northeast of Helsinki in Finland. The land has an excellent logistic location in Bastukärr’s logistic area and the purchase sum amounts to EUR 900.000. Logistic Contractor’s plan is to establish a logistics or industrial facility of about 9.700 sqm including office space here, suitable for one or two clients.

– We are very pleased with this acquisition and the business opportunities that it provides. The location is very attractive for logistics operators, as well as for companies that need space for manufacturing or warehousing. A local development plan is already in effect and our intention is to develop and build a modern and efficient facility that can be put into operation at the beginning of 2024, says René Lönnqvist, Sales and Development Manager of Logistic Contractor in Finland.

LC has made a commitment to achieve fossil-free operations by 2030. As part of this commitment the Sipoo facility will be certified according to BREEAM Very Good and designed with geo thermal heating and solar panel solutions.
