Ahlsell, Eidsvoll
LC developed and built a new state-of-the-art central warehouse for the wholesale company Ahlsell, covering 64,000 square meters in Eidsvoll, approximately 70 km north of Oslo. The facility is Norway’s largest logistics building constructed in a single phase to date and includes an extensive automation system. Part of the building consists of a 36-metre-high high-bay warehouse.
The Ahlsell project is a strong example of how we offer our customers a complete solution, including land acquisition, development, and construction. The building was constructed on a 266,000 square metre site that LC acquired in 2021, allowing for future expansion.
During the development process, we worked closely together to reduce the building’s climate impact during both the construction and operational phases. The facility achieved BREEAM-NOR certification at the Very Good level, and a solar power system—installed on both the roof and façades—was designed to produce at least as much electricity annually as the building consumes.
Construction began in 2024, and the facility was handed over to Ahlsell in 2025.
