Environmental certification and green options

Through environmental certification, a range of qualities related to material choices, indoor environment, resource use, and impact on the local area are ensured in the building. Environmental certification also facilitates reporting according to the EU’s taxonomy. Another significant advantage is that both banks and other credit institutions, as well as investors, increasingly steer towards “green” investments, making it easier to attract capital.

Within LC, we have extensive experience in working with all the environmental certifications used in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. We guide the project towards set goals from design to completed certification.

As an alternative or complement to environmental certification, we can offer various green options. Today, most of our clients choose to install solar panels on the roof. We can also offer additional measures related to reduced energy consumption, such as geothermal heating or energy class A for the building. In some projects, we have installed equipment for collecting rainwater, which is then used for vehicle washing or toilet flushing.

As the buildings we construct occupy significant land areas, it is essential to safeguard the biodiversity in the surroundings. Plants, green areas, stormwater ponds, and placing sedum on part of the roof are examples of measures that have a positive impact.
